It is a New Year’s Day tradition!
People jump into ice-cold water.
They say it is fun!
In Toronto, they gathered on Sunnyside Beach. In Tsawwassen, they swam in Boundary Bay.
In Prince Edward Island, they dug through the ice on Charlottetown Harbour.
Many of the swims raise money for charity.
In Vancouver, money and food goes to local food banks.
In Toronto, they gave money to Habitat for Humanity.
Are these folks brave or just crazy?
