Nooruz is the Persian New Year. Sometimes it is spelled “Nowruz” and sometimes it is spelled “Norooz”. The word means “new day” in the Persian language. It is a time to celebrate the first day of spring and the first day of the Persian new year.

On this day, people celebrate
the life of St. Patrick.
St. Patrick was born in the year 387.
He brought Christianity to Ireland.
Experts believe St. Patrick
died on March 17, 461.
