Level 2
People have raced bathtubs in Nanaimo, B.C.,
since 1967.
This was the same year Canada turned 100.
Nanaimo wanted to show its town
to the world.
So it started this unique race.

Every year the race gets bigger.
This year about 50 men and women
will compete.
They will race 58 kilometres in a bathtub boat!

This year, the race begins on July 25 and ends on July 27.
