Prince George, B.C., will host
the Canada Winter Games
in February 2015.

The city will also celebrate
its 100th birthday.

The torch celebrations started
in October. The torch travelled
through Fort St. John and Terrace.
This month, it will be in Quesnel.

This is the first time B.C.
has hosted these winter games.
From February 13 to March 1,
over 2,000 athletes
from 10 provinces
and three territories
will compete in 19 sports.

Northern B.C. will welcome 15,000 visitors
from 800 communities.

Did you know?
The first Canada Winter Games
was in 1967 in Québec City.
The next Canada Winter Games
will be in 2019.
