This Halloween,
man’s best friend,
the dog,
can dress up, too.
Once there were four costumes
for pets.
Now there are over 20 costumes.
On Saturday, October 25, 2014,
dog owners
dressed their dogs
in Halloween costumes.
They took their dogs to Stanley Park.
They entered their dogs
in the Halloween Dog Parade.
The Halloween Dog Parade
happens every year.
It costs $5 to enter the parade.
The money raised at the parade
helps the Best Friends for Life Program.
This program gives food, medical care, leashes
and warm blankets/clothing for dogs
of low-income owners in Vancouver.
