It is simple. Eat less and move more.

Lose weight and feel healthier by doing these things.

  1. Drink less alcohol.
    1. Make alcohol a special treat.
  2. Stop snacking.
    1. Feeling hungry is OK.
  3. Change what you eat.
    1. Add more green, red and orange vegetables. Eat more carrots, broccoli, and beets.
    2. Eat less white vegetables and starches. Eat less potatoes, pasta and white bread.
    3. Eat less meat. Make each serving the size of a credit card.
    4. Eat more fibre. Eat like beans, lentils, and kamut.
  4. Eat a little before and eat a little after meals.
    1. Eat a small palmful of raw nuts 15 – 20 minutes before meals.
    2. Eat a small palmful of raw nuts instead of having a second helping or dessert.
  5. Eat fruit
    1. Fruit juice is full of sugar and calories. Eat the whole fruit instead.
  6. Eat less sugar.
    1. Make cakes, cookies, ice cream and candy a treat. Eat them once a week.
  7. Drink coffee or tea.
    1. Black coffee and tea have no calories.
  8. Walk or bike everywhere you go.
    1. Walking and biking are good exercises. They burn calories.
    2. Walk before breakfast and after dinner.

You never finish. You cannot stop and go back to your old ways. To stay healthy, you must do this forever.
