Surrey opens a new night market

July 4 is opening day.

The Surrey Night Market is a place for families.
They can feel safe and have a night out.
About 5000 people are expected every night.

The market will have about 100 stalls.
Most will be selling food.
The food will come from China, India, the Caribbean, Africa and Mexico.

The Surrey Night Market

  • open from 6:00 – 11:00 pm
  • on Fridays and Saturdays
  • from July 4 to August 30

Admission is about $2.00.
Admission is free for children and older seniors.
Parking is free.

You can find the Surrey Night Market at the Cloverdale Rodeo grounds.

The Richmond Night Market

The Richmond Night Market started 14 years ago. About 10,000 people go there every night.

They have 90 food stalls and about 200 retail stalls.

The Richmond Night Market

  • Open from 7:00 – 11:00 pm
  • open Friday, Saturday and Sunday
  • from May 16 to October 13

The market is on River Road near Bridgeport Skytrain station.

Vancouver Chinatown night market

The Vancouver Chinatown Night Market is not be open this year.

The market ran for 17 years.
They hope to re-open in 2015.
