Apple crisp is a great potluck dessert. It is easy to make. You can serve it at room temperature.
What you need:
- 7 apples (peeled, cored and sliced)
- 4 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 cup of brown sugar
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- ½ cup of room temperature butter
What you do:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Mix apple slices with lemon juice and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
- Arrange the apples in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
- In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, oats and cinnamon. Add butter and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle this mixture over the apples.
- Bake for 45 minutes, or until the topping is crunchy and the apples are soft.
- Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
