Apple crisp recipe

Apple crisp is a great potluck dessert. It is easy to make. You can serve it at room temperature.

What you need:

  • 7 apples (peeled, cored and sliced)
  • 4 teaspoons of fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of rolled oats
  • ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup of room temperature butter

What you do:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Mix apple slices with lemon juice and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
  3. Arrange the apples in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, oats and cinnamon. Add butter and mix until crumbly. Sprinkle this mixture over the apples.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until the topping is crunchy and the apples are soft.
  6. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!
