A picnic is a simple way to eat outdoors.

You can picnic in a park.

You can picnic in your own backyard. Spread a blanket on the ground.
Lay your food out.  Eat your lunch. Have fun.

The children run and play. They come back to the blanket to rest and eat.

Unpack your food and set it out on the blanket. A picnic menu includes drinks,
salads, sandwiches, fruit, cheese and cookies.

There are rules to follow for a good picnic.
Clean up after yourself.  Take your garbage home.
Do not feed the animals, birds or fish.  Human food is not good for them.

It is a pleasure to picnic in a beautiful garden.
