The following terms and conditions (together with any documents or additional terms, conditions or policies referred to herein or available by hyperlink) (collectively, the “Terms”) apply to your use of www.thewestcoastreader.com including any content, functionality, and services available on or through www.thewestcoastreader.com (collectively the “Site”).  The Site is operated by Decoda Literacy Solutions Society, a British Columbia not-for-profit company located at 980-1125 Howe St, Vancouver, BC Canada V6Z 2K8. Throughout the site, the terms “The Westcoast Reader”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Decoda Literacy Solutions Society.

Your access to and use of the Site is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who wish to access or use the Site, including without limitation users who are browsers, users, or contributors of content.

You are solely responsible for your User-Generated Content. You represent and warrant that you are the copyright owner of any User-Generated Content that you submit to us and that you have the unimpaired right to convey all intellectual property rights in and to the User-Generated Content to us.

You agree that your User-Generated Content will not violate any right of any third-party, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, privacy, personality or other personal or proprietary right. You further agree that your User-Generated Content will not contain libelous or otherwise unlawful, abusive or obscene material, or contain any computer virus or other malware that could in any way affect the operation of the Site or any related website. You hereby grant Decoda Literacy Solutions Society a perpetual, royalty-free, irrevocable worldwide, non-exclusive licence (but not an obligation) to publish, display, retain, archive, use, store, produce, reproduce, perform in public, broadcast and communicate to the public by telecommunication, the User-Generated Content, in any material form, in whole or in part and on any platform and to sub-license such rights to other Users.

You hereby waive all moral rights in and to the User-Generated Content in favour of Decoda Literacy Solutions Society and acknowledge and agree that we may at any time, without restriction, edit, copy, publish, distribute, translate and otherwise use in any medium, including on the Site, any User-Generated Content that you submit to us.

The Content (including any facts, views, opinions, recommendations, description of or references to products, services, links to third-party websites, licensed third-party content, and User-Generated Content) is provided to you for educational purposes only. Indemnity

Governing Law

By using this website, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of British Columbia and Canada within British Columbia for any claims, actions, or other legal proceedings arising from or related in any way to the Content or the Site.
