Shortbread cookies are a treat at Christmas.
Traditional shortbread has three ingredients: sugar, butter and flour.
- 1/2 cup of softened butter (125 mL)
- Add 1/2 cup of powdered sugar (125 mL)
Mix together. - Add 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla (if you have it)
- Add 1 cup of flour (125 mL)
Blend. - Scoop cookies on cookie sheet (see video).
- Flatten cookies with the bottom of a glass.
Bake at 325°F (163°C) for 10-15 minutes.
When cooked, the shortbread is a light golden brown.
