This March Break take a staycation. A staycation is a stay-at-home vacation.
You can do fun things in your own town or city. You can save money on travel, airfare or hotels.
Here are some staycation tips.
Free activities
- Look for free concerts, movies, festivals and fairs in your community. Check online or visit your local tourism office for event information.
- Explore your local library for free activities like story time, crafts, movies, board games and sing-alongs.
Get outdoors
- Join walking tours to learn about local history, architecture and art from experts. Many guided tours are free or only cost a little.
- Hike on trails or take a walk to enjoy nature.
- Go on a scavenger hunt with your kids. Create a checklist of things to find like a statue, a bird, a flag or other things.
Look for discounts
On certain days, many places offer deals on admission fees. Check before you go and find a good time to visit.
